The HIPE project is soon reaching its conclusion, and we’re excited to share our key findings. At this final event, we’ll present the results of our research, including practical demonstrations and future visions for this emerging field.

This event is for anyone interested in the intersection of technology, human-centered design, and ethical development. Whether you’re in academia, industry, or simply curious about how smart services are shaping our lives, this seminar offers valuable insights and networking opportunities.

13:00–13:20 | Welcome and Introduction to HIPE’s Objectives

13:20–14:10 | HIPE Results: A deep dive into the project’s key outcomes, including:

  • Summary of HIPE project activities
  • Comfort in tram: A demonstration video and presentation of our solution for enhancing on-board comfort and safety in public transport.
  • Mindful meetings: Explore how to create more effective and mindful meeting environments (includes a demo video).

14:40–15:00 | Human-Aware Services – A Regulatory and Ethical Perspective: A discussion on the crucial ethical and regulatory considerations in developing these new technologies.

15:00–15:20 | HIPE’s Future Vision: What’s next for human-aware services in physical spaces? We’ll present our roadmap for the future.

15:20–15:40 | Expert Comments: Hear from experts in both academia and industry on their thoughts on the project’s vision.

15:40–15:50 | “Happiness from Finland” Initiative by VTT.
